Recently, the quality of a vehicle has been greatly issued with automobile industries developed. Door system is considered as a criterion to estimate quality of a vehicle. In particular, the drive mechanism evaluation of a window glass using regulator is a very important part for a door quality because vibration and noise are generated when a window glass is moved along the regulator.

The study on the drive characteristics of a window glass, however, has not been fully made in the domestic automobile industries. Window glass is normally moved along a dual-rail type. Window regulator is a device to open and close a door window glass. The normal drive durability required in the operation test of domestic automobile industries is over 20,000 lifecycles.

In this work, motion analysis of a window glass with ADAMS is performed and the reaction force of the mechanism part is estimated. To clarify the dynamic characteristics of a window regulator mechanism, the simulation model has been developed from various parametric studies. Experimental works were conducted to support the simulation.
