Abstract

Keywords: e-brake, system, control

Some previous publications describe the possible realisations of the electro-mechanic brake actuator (Hartmann, et al., 2002). There are available studies about the modelling identification and control design of the electric wheel-end (Stréli, et al., 2006). Finally the simulations and bench tests are presented as well (Balogh, et al. 2006). However the integration of the functionally acceptable actuator in the vehicle brake system is not evident.

In the case of vehicle installation the following questions occur: definition of control levels, definition of control level interfaces, system redundancy, in wheel-end integrated safety functions, power saving, required input-output information and relating observers´ design.
