Electronic driver assistant systems are nowadays widely used in automobiles and those provide more safety mostly by increasing the stability and manoeuvrability of the vehicle at critical driving situations. Although drivers can cause accidents not only by driving the vehicle over its stability limit and ignoring the current circumstances but also by being inadvertent e.g. falling asleep. In such cases the vehicle can leave the lane and bump against the oncoming vehicles in the opposite lane or the objects near the road. These kinds of accidents usually happen on highways, by driving with high speed. Respect to a lot of personal injuries the material and environmental damages are also remarkable because of the road close and the damaged vehicles and road infrastructure. According to these facts, the developments of autonomous vehicle systems, which are able to drive the vehicle in absence of driver activity, are promising solutions to increase safety on public roads.
