Abstract
Traction Drive IDG(T-IDG®) is the next-generation aircraft power generation device generating 400Hz constant frequency AC power. It features high efficiency (low power loss) and high reliability. In developing the T-IDG®, there were several technical barriers such as weight and environmental conditions. To overcome these barriers, high speed traction drive, power split and sensorless electro-servo valve control systems were employed. Thus the development of the T-IDG® has been successfully completed.
