ABSTRACT

The paper, part of an extended study, shows the results of researches in designing a four link suspension for a medium passenger car when the initial roll center height is imposed. Given the mechanism structure and a number of initial parameters (vehicle track, scrub radius, kingpin inclination angle, wheel camber angle, wheel radius) the purpose is to find the values for the other parameters in order to obtain the optimum wheel kinematics.
