ABSTRACT

In order to make more safety cars is very important to predict the impact behavior of the body structure. FE method allows making deformable models of the body structure, models very useful to study the impact behavior. For good results is important to consider nonlinear materials for the body structure. The paper presents some results concerning the frontal and lateral crash simulation. There will be presented the simplified model of the body, the material diagram and the movies of the simulation.
