ABSTRACT
This paper’s goal is to analyze the defrosting process of the windshield by means of experimentation on the Dacia Solenza vehicle and numerical simulation in Ansys software. According to ECE 78/317 directive, regarding defrosting, the HVAC system has to be capable of achieving in 20’, for a temperature -18°C, 80% of the visibility area. Also, there will be presented the obtaining of the visibility areas A, A’ and B, by plotting the defrosted area as a function of time.
