ABSTRACT
Dimethyl ether (DME) is identified as a clean new alternative fuel for diesel engines. DME can provide very low emissions and totally smokeless diesel engine operation. A theoretical and experimental investigation of the DME fueled diesel engine has been carried for the same aspects of the engine operating possibilities with the diesel cycle. The paper presents modelling results of the processes inside the fueled diesel engine cylinder with DME and gasoil applying the double injection method. Also, there are presented and experimental results of the D 2156 MTN8 engine DME fueled.
