Abstract
ABSTRACT:
There were analyzed more main streets in Brasov for determining the traffic problems in some areas of the city.
Objectives: Estimation of the atmospheric pollution impact over the population and the environment from the urban areas; The analysis of the pollution level produced by the city traffic; Finding some methods of optimization of the city traffic for diminishing its impact over the environment.
Paper content: The dates concerning the auto fleet from Brasov district (automobiles, small passenger cars, buses, utility vehicles, special destination vehicles, trucks, tractors, motocycles, etc.) and its evolution in the last few years; The analyzed routes and the traffic volumes (of the important areas in the city of Brasov: the historic center, the commercial center, residential areas, commercial routes); Determination of the environment pollution level in this areas (the main chemical pollution elements and the noise pollution sources); Optimization methods of the city traffic for limitation of the chemical and noise pollution (restrictioning of the traffic in some areas, the encouragement of using the public transportation, construction of bicycle lanes, designing of street-traffic control lights programs for traffic fluidization);
