ABSTRACT:

It is unlikely to assure equal theoretical speeds at the wheels on the two axles due to the fact that the values specific to these speeds can modify if various factors are considered: ignoring tires air pressure, variation of wheels load, tires wear and tear etc. As a result, the perfect equality of a four-wheel tractor's front and rear wheels theoretical speeds occurs absolutely accidentally. The inequality of these speeds is evaluated through the coefficient of kinematic non-concordance. Undertaking the particularities of four-wheel tractors' mechanics the hereby paper is developing a method to analytically determine the wheels' tangential forces and the tractor's tractive efficiency. There is emphasized the influence of the kinematic non-concordance in the running system upon both the tractive efficiency and the tractive effort of the front and rear axles. There are presented the research results and there are made recommendations in order to determine the value of the kinematic non-concordance coefficient throughout the designing stage of four-wheel tractors with unequal driving wheels. There are presented the research results carried on the tractor U 651 M of 48 KW.
