Abstract
ABSTRACT:
Tests at limit speeds do not represent a reception parameter. They are used only in the development of new bearings or cages, for checking reliability or for comparative studies. During the tests at limit speeds not only the maximum speed on stand is determined but following a running in stage of the bearing, both the idle friction moment is measured and the friction moment with load, as well as the inner and outer level temperatures. Thus other assessments can be made referring to the behaviour of the bearing.
