Abstract

ABSTRACT:

The accomplishments in the field of direct injection diesel engines are outstanding, from the point of view of both energetically and ecological results.

The desire of the authors is that of building an engine that should comprise all up-to-date experiences of the researchers in this field.

This engine is to be used in small households. In order to satisfy the requirements of those who use it, the following values for the constructional and functional (working) parameters are imposed:

• cilinders: 1

• bore: 76 [mm]

• stroke: 65 [mm]

• compression ratio: 20:1

• injection: direct in bowil combustion chambre

• cooling: by forced air with flyweel fan

• starting: by rope

• chead: aluminium head with turbulence inlet duct

• cilinder: made of cast iron, removeble from engine housing

• cilinder block: made of cast aluminium

• crankshaft: made of steel

• connecting rod: made of steel with roller bearing

• piston rings: high resistant, made by Goetze

• injection pomp: PFE 1Q

• regulation: automatic with centrifugal governer

As a result of the calculus, there are established the main details of the engine

mechanism. The theoretical research of mechanical and thermal efforts, by using FEM, allows the constructive optimization.

Likewise, a Q-size injection pump is designed to be able to satisfy the requirements regarding the defined injection law.

In the paper there are thoroughly presented the steps taken, the products designed and the research results.
