Abstract
The paper aims to identify the current level of pollution caused by traffic in Cluj Napoca and also follow the main pollutants (PM10, PM2,5, SO2), and finally, the development of proposals on reducing pollution levels and improving air quality. Environmental Protection Agency in Cluj County has in-stalled a number of 4 automatic stations for air quality measuring, in Cluj Napoca. Measurement of pollutants is achieved using standardized methods. Several recommendations were made regarding the reduction of environmental pollution. All the recommendations were adapted to the specificity of Cluj Napoca City, the second largest city in the country.
