Abstract
The aim of the present document is to show the benefits of using a satellite positioning system and highlight the opportunities offered by this method in improving the scientific investigation at a crime scene, compared to the traditional investigations. The satellite positioning system reduces the time taken to investigate the site of a road traffic collision and is far superior in increasing the level of accuracy for all recorded measurements.
