Abstract
The aim of the present study is to analyse how the today’s surroundings can take an influence on the optimization process of the combustion engine’s mechanical structures. The entire optimization process is affected by current trends such as: reduction of fuel consuption, weight reduction, reduction of environment pollution, deminishing oil resources, hybridization, alternative energy sources, traffic and roads conditions, environmently protected areas in the cities, geographical particular conditions, recovery of recyclables, new materials, manufacturing, energy’s recovery procedures, turbocharging, computer aided design and many others. The effects of some surrounding factors will be exemplified on a combustion engine’s mechanical component. Field’s measurements and computer aided design modells are presented in order to provide an experimental support.
