Abstract

The engine mounts plays an important role in reducing and controlling the vibration and noise in a vehicle. The engine mounts system is designed to reduce the transmission of the engine vibration to the chassis and at the same time it is also used for supporting the static load of the engine weight. The paper describes the performance of the engine mount caused by the variations in the excitation frequency and amplitude. Solving the derived equations, natural frequencies and forced vibration responses of an engine-mount system can be simulated accurately.
