Abstract
Usually, the driver is forced to accelerate, decelerate, brake and change gears a lot more often in the congested traffic of the rush hours. Such a process has a considerable impact on fuel consumption and on polluting emissions. Any method that contributes to the reduction of CO2 emissions and which can be commercialised in a sensitive manner, must be applied to save the environment. Within this context, this article aims a critical review of the state-of-the-art in the on-board vehicle’s indications for improving the driving style in order to minimize fuel consumption and pollutant emissions.
