Abstract

The paper analyses in detail the ways of improving the particle filters’ performances used as depolluting systems in quick Diesel engines meant for light drive. One had in view the fitting of cars in EURO 5 depollution norms. In conclusion, there are four ways to improve the particle filters’ performances, namely: the rigorous control of the regenerating temperature, the increase of the storage capacity by the right selection of the material of the ceramic monolith and the replacing of the regenerating substance using a separate injector with this substance with the late injection, the choice of some C level oils with high performances specific to EURO 4-5 motorizations using a catalyst and a particle filter.
