Abstract
SKODA VYZKUM s.r.o. (SKODA RESEARCH Ltd.) has been co-operating with producers of road vehicles from the Czech Republic and from abroad for a long time. When solving concrete problems of technical practice both experimental measurements and computer simulations play the irreplaceable role. Computer simulations are applied especially in the stage of development and in the cases when it is not possible to carry out experimental measurements on a real product. The contribution presents a short overview of research and testing activities of SKODA VYZKUM s.r.o. in the area of transportation engineering and shows examples of co-operation with various producers of road vehicles.
