Abstract

This paper presents for the first time some aspects regarding a diesel-electric hybrid concept car GRAND HAMSTER Electricway 4WD. This original vehicle is developed in this year in the Automotive Engineering Research Centre on the mechanical platform of the DACIA DUSTER crossover car. The EcoMatic Hybrid System (Energy conversion with autoMatic Hybrid System), diesel-electric version, is a parallel two shafts, plug-in type, organized in a motorized solution E- 4WD (Electricway- 4WD). In the case of this vehicle the name designates the hybridization of a diesel engine (1.5 litre dCi FAP, 79 kW (107 bhp) located at the front of the vehicle and an asynchronous electric motor (offering a maximum power output of 31 kW /42 bhp) located at the rear of the vehicle. The traction battery, Lithium ion technology, 205V, 12 kWh is rechargeable by an on board single faze charger.
