Abstract
This paper presents a first study on the dynamic analysis made on some basic parts of the front brake assembly, e.g. the disc brake, the fork and the caliper. The main purpose of this analysis is to find the characteristic vibration modes with values that are likely to come into close resonance. The CAD models of these parts were obtained using CATIA V5 software, and the calculation was performed using finite element software provided by MSC/NASTRAN software. The experimental measurements were made within the laboratory of vibration of the University of Pitesti.
