Abstract
This paper presents a calculation of endurance for a front axle’s arm made of iron plate, which is based on the Finite Elements Method (FEM). There were analyzed two types of material, one existing and one proposed, using for analysis the Dang Van criterion. The objective of these calculations was to demonstrate the absence of cracks during the tests of endurance, established by the book of specifications.
