Abstract
The paper presents the general steps of a stress analysis of mechanical parts, from modelling, to meshing and than analysing the effects and possible improvement of the design. The subject refers to the two steering tie rods of a vehicle that transmit the motion from the steering rack to the wheels. Their function supposes a continuous stretching and compression stress.
