Abstract

Nowadays fuel consumption reached its peeks. Fuel demand increases rapidly, leading to the disappearance of almost all natural resources. Even if we try not to use as much as now the fossil fuel reserve that still exists, at one point it will vanish if we don’t find some a sustainable replacement. New on the market, biodiesel, ethanol and other types of biofuels, tend to improve the amount of emissions when burnt, but not everyone embraces this kind of new technology. The problem that appears is the need of large tracks of land for the production of large quantities of fuel, so there is a need to find the most productive type of plant. Even thou petrol based diesel has great proprieties and gives back big amounts of energy, it has a big impact, when burnt, over the environment. Therefore it appears the need to find new types of fuel that may help not only the environment but also satisfy the need for big amounts of energy.
