ABSTRACT
The paper presents a numerical method based on the use of FE analysis to extract and define nonlinear characteristics of linear/axial and rotational springs. LS-Dyna a well known finite elements analysis code is used to solve the FE models. The data obtained will be used as an input for LMS/MB models. We also present the results obtained for an automotive structure using both numerical methods.
