ABSTRACT
The task of the periodical technical inspection is to estimate, without dismantling, the automotive’s technical status, from the point of view of road safety, environment protection and use corresponding to destination. In order to analyse the technical status of automotive park in correlation with the service period, it could be considered as a relevant parameter the rejection percent of automotive at technical inspection, so it is necessary to determine the relation between the rejection percent and automotive’s service period. In order to determine the correlation rank between those two factors, it is necessary to use methods based on concordance tests. The most suitable method for this is the correlation diagram, which allows us, based on a simple algorithm, to identify the certainty level (or the risk level) for the identified correlation. On a global analyse, we find out that the rejection percent for automotive is strictly monotone growing with the service period: from 28% for the one year old automotive, to 82.5% for the ones over 16 years old. Using the correlation diagram, we established that there is a positive correlation between those two factors, and we determined the correlation rank which is quite high: over 95%. Considering the automotives with few years of service, the quite high rejection percent confirms the inadequate maintenance between two technical inspections. For this reason, it is very useful the control done in traffic.
