ABSTRACT
The goal of this research is to emphasise the influence of the underbody geometry of a car on aerodynamic characteristics of the later. Were performed two kind of measurements according with SAE requirements concerning quality of the stream in test chamber for two speeds, Vair = 25 m/ s and Vair = 33 m/ s , with the underbody of model reproducing a Venturi tunnel configuration and with an usual one. In the beginning of the paper are presented the used experimental facilities and the data system acquisition. The obtained results reveal an improving of the aerodynamic characteristics for cars with underbody geometry which conducive the Venturi effect.
