Abstract
Due to its properties the hydrogen is an excellent fuel for the internal combustion engines. The use of hydrogen in the spark ignition engine represents a big challenge for the main universities’ laborities and for the car building industry corporations. In this paper is presented a thermogasodynamic analysis of the processes developed inside the cylinder of the SI engine; there are presented the influences of hydrogen addition in gasoline on the engine performance. The paper presents some modeling results of the processes inside the cylinder of the spark ignition engine fueled with gasoline and hydrogen. The admission of hydrogen is made at the beginning of the compression stoke, after the intake valve closing.
