ABSTRACT 

The outlet valves springs and the injector springs are subjected for high dynamic loads due to the pressure waves. This paper presents a simulation methodology using the Finite Elements Method for the outlet valve’s spring and the injector needle’s spring. The displacements of these two springs are measured using an original strain gauge device. The conclusions drawn as result of the comparison between the simulated values and the experimental ones verify the theoretical assumptions that have been adopted to achieve the dynamic simulation of the springs behavior..
