Abstract
The improvements and the new features of the Ducati Testastretta that fits both the 996R production bike and the F01 bike competing in the 2001 world SBK series are presented. The engine evolution has been carried out considering the performance of the engine, in terms of power, reliability and efficiency. The design choices, the simulation tools, the materials and the manufacturing techniques are here presented.
