Abstract
Telematic services for vehicles are already available. Currently they are addressing the basic needs of a driver, but the evolution imposed by the mobile internet market is going towards the Mobile Portal model. Car portals are similar to other portals, but there are important differences that require on-board terminals to have some unique features if compared with other mobile terminals.
In this paper we analyse the above differences and the proposed solution for the on-board infotainment system.
