Abstract:
Hybrid Vehicles rely on the electric motor performing many new functions (start-stop, brakeboost, ZEV…). They must have very little losses to reduce the consumption and emissions. At the same time, they must be integrated in or near the gearbox where there is little space. There are many hybrid transmission architectures leading to different appropriately sized motor technologies. To study electric machines for hybrid vehicles it is necessary to have the right models and to synthesis the vehicle results into motor specifications.
