Abstract

This study shows that the system of the Antenna part with a built-in Combining Filter and Head Unit part with Duplex Filter modules that transmits DMB signal and GPS signal together through one integrated feeder cable, even though DMB signal and GPS signal have a different frequency. That is, the new-proposed system can transmit two different signals from DMB and GPS using one integrated feeder cable through Combiner Filter in Antenna part that integrates the two different signals into one. After then, the signals served to tuner through Duplex Filter modules in Head Unit part that divide the integrated signal back into DMB signal and GPS signal. The built-in Combining Filter in the Antenna part is constructed with Low Pass Filter (LPF) and Notch Filter (NF) to secure the isolation of each signal from DMB and GPS. Besides, the Duplex Filter module in Head Unit part is constructed with LPF and High Pass Filter (HPF), NF to minimize the loss of each signal. This skill - offers GPS, DMB services using one integrated feeder cable – has several merits of reducing cost and weight , improving efficiency of work and being easy layout. The new-proposed antenna system is tested by simulations and continually has a good performance in comparison with an existing antenna system by actual tests.
