Abstract

In addition to the requirements of the general layout, aesthetics, aerodynamics and morphology ... load-bearing part of the car must also meet the high requirements for durability, hardness, fatigue strength. Therefore, research survey evaluating hardness, durability, and especially fatigue is one important element in the process of designing and manufacturing automobile chassis. The world has many theoretical research as well as conducting experiments to evaluate the quality and longevity of the automobile frame. Tests for durability and fatigue strength for the chassis usually require huge costs and can only be carried out in manufacturing, research facilities of the major automobile manufacturers. Therefore, recently the authors focus on finding methods to set and modeling structural chassis to clarify the scientific basis for evaluating survey hardness, durability, fatigue strength of its with software and technical computing simulation on the computer. Currently in Vietnam have appeared a number of software modules to be calculated to assess fatigue strength such as Fatigue Tools module of ANSYS Workbench. This paper refers to the application modules Fatigue Tools for setting up a model for preliminary assessment survey durability and fatigue life of the automobile frame structure built in Vietnam
