Abstract

Abstract: In the paper thermal status of Diesel engine cylinder head in analyzed by experimental means, when either two variants of differential cooling or classical cooling is applied. Three groups of temperature sensors were mounted within four transversal sections of the cylinder head, thus being possible making-up of cylinder head temperature matrix. Contribution consist in above-mentioned matrices making-up and drawing of cylinder head temperature variation graphs, on engine speed as well as engine load characteristic.

Keywords: internal combustion engine, cylinder head, thermal status, temperature matrix, temperature variation graphs.
