Abstract
Abstract: In this paper are studied the main accomplishments, at the world wide level, in the field of direct injection single cylinder diesel engines. There were studied the constructive and functional parameters of these types of engines, destined for usage in industrial applications and small households. The main objective of this paper is to make a comparative analyze between studied solutions and the one developed in our internal combustion engines department. The design and construction of such a D.I. single cylinder diesel engine was the central objective of a research contract that was finalized with a functional model.
