Abstract

Abstract: This paper presents the results of a study done with the intermediary steering axle fitted on the steering system of a motor-car. The CAD model was done using CATIA V5 and the calculus using FEM by MSC/NASTRAN. The calculus were done considering the testing conditions imposed by the specification notes for product manufacturing. The results obtained were compared with those obtained by experiments done with these parts.
