Abstract
Abstract: A classification of different hybrid powertrains will be presented. Packaging with regard to transmissions will be explained. With the additional electric motor the powertrain can be done without a transmission or only a few gear steps are necessary. Other concepts replace the move-off clutch or torque converter and keep the main transmission without changes. Great possibilities has the hybrid with regard to automized manual transmission in order to improve comfort and vehicle dynamics.
