Abstract

Diesel particulate matters (DPM) often contain small amounts of metal as a minor component but major contributor to adverse health effects. The knowledge of mechanism for formation as well as size preference of the trace metal is highly needed to mention about health concerns. To achieve this, size and composition of each particle should be measured at the time. A single particle mass spectroscopy (SPMS) would be the best tool for the objective. Here we will introuduce normal finding with SPMS about the mechanism and distribution of the trace metals.
