Abstract
Due to various customer requirement and growth of motorization in developing country, low volume and flexible production method will be needed in automotive industry.
In accordance with Honda Basic Concept to produce the models in where there is a demand, Honda has expanded a low production volume line to the factories as a global strategy. In order to achieve our target, low volume and flexible production method will be improved and profitable under around 30,000 vehicles / year. The basis to optimize the production methods are to improve resource (manpower, material, cost and lead time) efficiency and to keep commonality between the factories to transfer the production line and to pass down the technique to the associates in each factory based on Three-Reality-Principle (Actual spot / thing /situation).
These technologies will be introduced as an example for a technology to realize this production method as follows:
