Abstract
Nissan Diesel Motor Co., Ltd. has newly developed the high performance CNG engine (Max power 154 kW, Max torque 667 N-m) for medium-duty trucks (G.V.W. 8-15 tons). High performance was achieved by applying the electronic-controlled single point gas injection system to the intercooled and turbocharged lean-burn combustion system.
In addition, all-speed governor control with a sub-throttle was newly developed for the steady PTO -drive (Power Take Off-drive) required by special purpose vehicles. As a result, it was possible to contribute to environmental improvement and to reply to market requirements.
