Abstract
Impacts of several vehicle parameters and diverse driving cycles on the performances of the fuel cell vehicle (FCV) with pure hydrogen were analyzed by simulation. Among the analyzed parameters, the increase of transmission efficiency of the powertrain system improves the vehicle energy performance most. The decrease of overall vehicle mass, aerodynamic drag coefficient and rolling resistance coefficient is in the next. The decrease of vehicle mass improves the acceleration performance from stand still most. The decrease of aerodynamic drag coefficient and roll resistance coefficient is in the next. The vehicle energy economy performance is different when ECE+EUDC, FTP city cycle, FTP highway cycle are accomplished. The energy economy performance while running FTP highway cycle is the best, then is the FTP urban cycle and EC E+EUDC.
