Abstract
Because of limited energy storage, improve ment of electric vehicle efficiency is very important, which can be done by an efficient traction motor drive system. Clearly, high efficiency can be obtained from suitable magnetizing current level for induction motors. This paper describes a fuzzy logic based on the indirect rotor field-oriented controlled induction motor to optimize its stator magnetizing current reference, which is adaptive to the broad road load range, especially for light load. An experiment is simulated to prove it effective.
