Abstract
In the improvement of mini-bus crashworthiness the use of compu ter simulation will reduce cost and shorten leadtime. In this paper the computer simulation of a mini-bus frontal crash with a rigid wall is discussed. After the validation of the model, some parameters are put forward to evaluate mini-bus crashworthiness. On the basis of above work, two concepts to improve mini-bus crashworthiness are studied. According to these studies, the modification of the mini-bus body structure is made, and its crashworthiness is enhanced greatly.
