Abstract
This paper introduces the structure and the work-process of a patented new front bumper airbags system. The system is researched by computer simulation with rigid body dynamic software MADYMO. Results indicate that the HIC value can be greatly reduced using front bumper airbag system. Thereby passenger injure is alleviated while crashing. Moreover, this paper discusses moving-window ignition algorithm based on vehicle body acceleration integral value and calculate corresponding window-width value.
