Abstract
Some issues about case-based reasoning (CBR) are studied in detail, which include two-level indexing of cases, optimization of the case using fuzzy clustering, similarity matching by means of fuzzy pattern recognition. Based on Object-oriented technology and case-based technology, we have designed a fault diagnosis system for rotary machines, among which CBR is utilized for a main reasoning method.
