Correlation on the Aging Methods for Catalytic Converter under Chinese Running Condition

Abstract

The importance of implementing fast aging method and its correlation research in China is first described in this paper, then the fast aging test equipment and test procedure we adopted are introduced. By comparing the engine bench evaluation data and vehicle evaluation data of two different type catalytic converters before and after the fast aging test, we can observe good resolution of the fast aging test method. We also present some emission data of the test car, which is equipped with real car aged converter and fast aged converter respectively, to observe the correlation of the two aging methods.
