Abstract
Vehicles steady state cornering performance (oversteer / understeer) has substantial influence on its handling and stability. In this paper, the steady state cornering performance of coach HFF6850 by simulation of vehicle handling dynamics using ADAMS and factors affecting this performance are analyzed. Some drawbacks are found while handling and stability of the coach are concerned. Based on the analysis, measures and suggestions are put forward in this paper to improve the vehicles steady state cornering performance.
