Abstract
This paper develops a new electroless nickel plating process with high performance according to the characteristics of components for heavy duty truck. The effect of the main compositions and concentration of electroless nickel solution and the main process parameters on the properties of deposits has been investigated by Cross Design Experiment Method. Also it makes a study of the effect of complexants, buffers and stabilizers on bath stability and the properties of deposits. With the optimum process determined, ZX-01 electroless nickel plating process was developed in which good bath stability, long bath ages, simple operation and high performance deposits with excellent adhesion were obtained. Some components for heavy duty truck have been mass-produced by this new process and this shows that there is a wide field in application of heavy duty truck.
