Abstract

Recently component parts such as control cable are facing the problem how efficiently and speedily we should proceed the development, accompanied with shortening development term, decreasing evaluation with actual vehicle.

To cope with these trend, it is necessary to predict the routing arrangement, initial performance and durability performance in the early stage of vehicle development.

Some studies to simulate routing arrangement had been attempted, however they did not have sufficient accuracy to check interference in CAD. In addition, it was not also possible to predict the durability performance.

We take the precise analytical model into consideration and use FEM code, ABAQUS. Thus we developed the simulation technology that enables accurate prediction of routing arrangement, initial performance and durability performance. By this method, in the early stage of vehicle’s development, it is possible to check interference between surrounding component parts in CAD and confirm the durability performance. In addition, it is also possible to take the measures of such occurred problems without making prototype.
